MY APPROACH TO THERAPY
My approach to therapy with clients is integrative and collaborative, which looks at the whole person in context.
Being integrative means that I am guided by several therapeutic ideologies like person-centered therapy, psychodynamic approach, cognitive-behavioural therapy, etc.
Being collaborative means that neither I nor the client are experts, and we work together to find the solutions they are seeking.
Looking at the whole person in context means that I recognize that an individual is more than themselves. That they are made up of and affected by their experiences, background, relationships, health, and so much more.
